Israel's Cease Fire Demands
In Tel Aviv, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert gave Lebanon Israel's term for a cease fire after a six day seige.
All they have been asking was for the safe return of their soldiers who were kidnapped last week.
"There are moments in the life of any nation where it stares reality in the face and says 'enough,' " said Mr. Olmert in his first address to parliament since the fighting began. "So I say to everyone: 'Enough.' Israel will not be held hostage to a terrorist gang, nor a terrorist authority." I don't believe they are asking too much for this to end. After all, it isn't a conflict they started.Israel must not bow to the appeasers in this case.
"No one on the Israeli side wants to return to the status quo ante, where you go to the northern border and you see Hezbollah flags instead of Lebanese flags and Hezbollah soldiers instead of Lebanese soldiers," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev.Enough is enough! These tantrums that the terrorist keep having are costing lives, on all sides. Israel has given up more than any other country would have been willing to give. There comes a time when they will have to put their foot down, and say NO MORE!
