Let's face it, criminals are stupid: Man calls police to say he's surfing for child porn BROOKFIELD, Wis. (AP) -- A man who called police to report that he was actively searching the Internet for child pornography could face charges if any child porn is found on his computer, police said. The Brookfield man called the police station and told officers what he was doing, and then requested that police write a letter saying he wouldn't be charged if he stopped. Instead police obtained a search warrant and removed a computer from the man's home. Authorities say they'll pursue charges if child porn is found on the computer.
