Is this Monday?

Have you ever had one of those days that you are totally overwhelmed by things you hear, see or read? I'm having one of those days, and I don't like it! There was another response to my "conservative" letter in the Fond du Lac Reporter today. And again, I have to cackle, and shake my head. But what really boggles the mind, was the comment "What kind of logic is being engaged when the writer condemns the killing of unborn children yet defends the rights of citizens to publicly carry lethal weapons?" Well, that one is pretty simple! As my daughter said (who is fairly liberal by my definition... I'm working on her) when I was reading this to her over the phone, "I'm not aware of any unborn children who have ever broken into a house, or robbed a store, or jacked a car!" All I can say is the writer probably had just finished reading "The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History" where the Founding Fathers were called liberals, radicals, etc. Yep, the concept of personal freedom was a fairly liberal, and radical, idea back way back when. But these are now the ideas of the conservatives, NOT the libs, who think government is the answer to every question, and throwing lots of money at a problem will fix it. Perhaps it's time for me to get back on the HRT! :)
