Balanced Budget?

According to Gov. Doyle, Wisconsin's books are in the black. Really? Then why do they keep insisting they need MORE money from your pocket?
The Democratic governor issued a statement saying he streamlined state government over the last three years, including selling 1,000 state vehicles and eight state planes and cutting the state payroll by nearly 4,000 positions.
One of those payroll cuts needs to be Doyle!
Republicans say estimates from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau show the state will face a $2.6 billion deficit going into the 2007-09 budget because revenues won't cover spending requests. Budget officials in Doyle's administration dispute that number, saying it doesn't account for growth in tax revenue, which should shrink the deficit.
I'm more inclined to believe the Republicans on this one.
