Good News For Dallas

Evidently, the incumbent mayor, Laura Miller, isn't running for re-election. She's not terribly popular in the area, at least not with the people I've spoken with. When a mayor cuts all kinds of things for the police department, the city suffers. Of course, that's not all she's done. The Texas/OU weekend has always been a big money maker for the city. Well, the Cotton Bowl needed major renovation, but she didn't think it was important enough to deal with until both schools said they were pulling out of Dallas when their contract expired. NOW, she's working on getting the job done, but it might be too little, too late, and Dallas will suffer.
