Ambulance stolen as paramedics worked
A Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance was stolen early Saturday morning in the White Rock Lake area. Paramedics were responding to a medical emergency in a home in the 9900 block of Coldwater Circle, near Peavy and Ferguson roads, about 4 a.m. when someone drove off in their ambulance. Firefighters found the vehicle, damaged and ransacked, about three hours later in an alley about a mile away. Dallas police said the ambulance struck a gas meter, damaging the right side of the vehicle. Medical supplies were missing. Police had no suspects Saturday.I know that area well. It use to be a really nice area. Obviously, times have changed. I'm not going to comment on how, or why, the area has declined.
