What Torture?

I honestly want to know where this woman gets her information! I'd also like to know why The Dallas Morning News keeps publishing her columns.
Despite disturbing reports that the United States has used extreme interrogation techniques – pouring phosphoric liquid on detainees, beating them unconscious and simulating drowning with "waterboarding" – President Bush has steadfastly maintained that torture has never been used on prisoners to extract information. But this announcement signals an important shift in policy, since the White House had asserted since 2002 that terrorism suspects don't deserve the rights granted under the Geneva Conventions.
I think she's confusing what the terrorists do with the brave men and women of our military. How about the actions of Saddam and his "boys"? I guess that was ok though, since it was the left's darlings.
To extract a confession, the 47-year-old Minnesotan was beaten, kicked and prodded with skin-searing electrical shocks. The final straw, Ms. Perzabal says, was watching her captors administer the shocks to her husband's naked body, including his genitals.
Comparing the United States military with one of the corrupt Mexican states? Yeah, Mexico is so fair with it's prisoners. That's why so many of the Mexicans are just pouring back into their own country. And who names their kid after a stupid dance anyway? Ok, that was a cheap shot, but this woman, and so many like her are seriously starting to chap my hide!
