Ceasefire
Say what?
Lebanese Defense Minister Elias al-Murr said the Lebanese army will respond toughly to any party that violates a ceasefire in southern Lebanon.Does this include the re-arming of Hezbollah? I would think that this is one serious sticking point with the so called "ceasefire".
In a news conference on Sunday Murr said: "The army will be very tough in dealing with such an issue. Any rocket fired from Lebanon will benefit Israel."Ummmm.... how would a rocket fired from Lebanon benefit Israel? Sorry, this isn't "computing" in my tiny brain.
Murr said that any faction that violates the ceasefire will be dealt with as traitors.Again, does this include Hezbollah? Or does he just mean Israel? If Israel is the violator, they are going to be "traitors"? To what? To whom?
He noted that Hizbullah is fully committed to the ceasefire as demanded by a United Nations Security Council resolution.Sorry, I'm spewing coffee, I must clean off my monitor. The UN demands, so all must bow down. Yeah, like that's going to happen. I don't see the Hezbos as really giving a happy crap about anything the UN, or anyone else demands....unless it's Alibooboo. (See this.)
He said the Lebanese army is positioned along the border with Syria to crack down on any arms smuggling attempts.I still question if Lebanon actually has an army. If they did, and were committed to peace, wouldn't they have gotten rid of Hezbollah a long time ago, and stop the influx of arms from Syria and Iran.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Foreign Minister Faouzi Sallouh said that Israel will likely continue to violate the ceasefire.I was watching Fox News Sunday when they showed a clip of the French coming to the rescue. Again, it was a monitor cleaning moment. Two little rubber boats, both with the French flag flying proudly, had about 6 soldiers each. Yep, the UN is really on the ball here. So, until they get their act together, and get the pedophiles (aka UN Peace Keeping Force) in place, why shouldn't Israel do it their job for them, which includes disarming the bad guys.
"This is a crime against humanity committed by Israel here and in other areas of Lebanon," he said on a visit to Haret Hreik. If this keeps up, I'm going to have to get a new monitor. Israel is committing "crimes against humanity"? I need more coffee!
