Owen, of Boots and Sabers fame, has a new column on gmtoday.com. Following their doctrine Catholic school has right to fire pregnant teacher

Two years ago, Eric and Kelly Romenesko received some great news. After five years of unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant, Kelly was finally with child - two children, to be exact. Five days after finding out this marvelous news, Kelly Romenesko was fired from her job as a teacher because of the pregnancy. (...) Should the school have fired Romenesko? Should the state allow the school to fire Romenesko? Yes on both counts.

The interesting thing here is, the women signed a contract, the school signed a contract - both parties entered into an agreement, both parties are obligated to live up to their end of the agreement. As usual, it's a well thought out column from Owen.
