Say WHAT????

Sheehan the Noble Peace Prize Finalist?
(CNSNews.com) - Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan announced at a book-signing in Austin, Texas, that she's a finalist for a Nobel Peace Prize, a local television station reports. Sheehan bought a house in Crawford, Texas where she and her supporters protest near President Bush's ranch. "What I really hope to do with it is to inspire people to do what they can to make the world a better place and to let them know that one person really can make a difference," Cindy Sheehan said, according to KVUE-TV. The Nobel Peace Prize announcements are scheduled for Friday. According to the Nobel Prize website, each year the Nobel Committees send invitations to thousands of members of academies, university professors, scientists from various countries, previous Nobel Laureates, members of parliamentary assemblies and others asking for recommendations on who should receive the Nobel Prizes for the upcoming year. The process is conducted in such a way that many countries and universities are represented over time. Also, information about the nominations, investigations, and opinions concerning the award is kept secret, the website says.
It's been obvious for quite a while, that what was once a prestigious organization, has become filled with admirers of those who do nothing to promote peace (Yasser Arafat comes to mind). What a complete, pathetic joke.
