DNA 'cold case' breakthrough
A '“revolutionary'” new DNA technique, which separates out mixed or poor quality genetic traces that were previously impossible to read, is being tried out in four police forces, the Forensic Science Service (FSS) said today. The technique could help solve of thousands of '“cold'” cases, including murders and rapes, where DNA can be recovered, it has been claimed.
Now if we could just lose the statute of limitations of rapes!
