A Page From U.S. Democrats?

There has been a declared winner in the race for the President of Mexico. Felipe Calderon (conservative) won the disputed race after the official count of the 41 million votes. His opponent, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrado (liberal), is blaming his loss on fraud. Now, truthfully, I don't know if they are really conservative and liberal, by our definition, but that's what I keep hearing on the news. If Calderon is a member of Vincente Fox's party, why is he more interested in the people of Mexico, as in a free-market, and financial stability? I don't know much (very little as a matter of fact) about Mexican politics, but it if you are in the same political party, don't you usually have the same sort of goals? If so, why are so many Mexicans fleeing north under Fox's rule? Why didn't Fox work towards having a free-market during his term in office instead of passing out instructions on how to enter the U.S. illegally. Yes, I'm as dumb as a box of rocks. :) Of course, the opponent is going to dispute the outcome (with marches in the streets). Some people just can't accept that they didn't win. Sounds very familiar.
