Buckskinner Rendezvous

Spend some time with Wisconsin's first white explorers, the fur traders, as they camp out at Marsh Haven Nature Center this weekend during the Buckskinner Rendezvous. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, re-enactors will set up camp in teepees and canvas lodges as they amble around the grounds in period costume, cook over open fires and demonstrate crafts from the 1840s. Cost of attending is $2 for adults and $1 for children. The Marsh Haven Nature Center is located at W10145 Highway 45, three miles east of Waupun. For more information, call 324-5818.

I've never been to this thing, but if you like geese, I can guarantee you and the kiddies will see more than you want sitting around in the Marsh.
