Trip South - Day 1

It's 6:00 and I've stopped for the day. There was a time when I could have driven straight through, but not anymore! I'm in Springfield, IL, and using high speed for the very first time. Pathetic, isn't it. But oh well, some day, we'll have it at home. :) I had some observations while driving today. People are nuts! Someone explain to me why a person has to be so close to my bumper they could reach out and scratch my butt! Cars with John Kerry bumper stickers are still bad drivers. And last, but not least, why is it after getting your car all set for a long trip, a weird noise has to show up when the A/C is on?
