"For years we have seen individuals enter the country illegally," said Sigifredo Gonzalez Jr., sheriff of Zapata County. "However, recently we feel that many of these persons are no longer entering the country to look for legitimate employment. We are now seeing that many of these persons are members of ruthless and violent gangs."
For those who don't think we need serious "immigration" reform now, is sadly mistaken. Yes, there are hard working people who come to this country, legally or illegally, who want to have a better life for themselves and their families. However, there are others who are coming here to break even more laws and don't care who gets hurt by their actions. The gangs members and "coyote's" are making life harder for everyone! This is a form of terrorism that no one seems to want to talk about. Making excuses, marching in the streets and waving the Mexican flag claiming to be proud to be in this country is bad enough. We're seeing a serious increase in drug trafficking and murders in our largest cities, but someone is always there, in front of a microphone, to spout all the reasons we have to "understand". NO, we do NOT have to understand, we have to fix the problem. The first thing would be to put that fence up, increase border security and allow the citizens to do what the Constitution allows us to do... protect out homeland! Let the police ask for someone's proof of citizenship if they think the person they are arresting for committing a crime, and send their happy hineys back to where they belong. Don't release criminals who are known to be illegal from prison back into society, keep them in cuffs, and put them on a plane, bus, camel, llama, back to their own countries.
