I'm confused!

The Syria Factor Peter Brooks
An Israeli ground invasion into southern Lebanon is likely coming...beyond the challenge of rooting out Hezbollah, the big strategic question is: What will Syria do after Israeli forces roll across the Lebanese border? Will Syria send troops into Lebanon to support Hezbollah? It'’s foolish to think that the Syrians will stand idly by and watch Israel roll into Lebanon and do nothing...either answering in a conventional military sense with ground troops—or making an asymmetrical "“unconventional"” (i.e., terrorist/paramilitary) response. What better excuse for Damascus to send troops back into Lebanon? Pinched between Turkey, Israel and Iraq, Lebanon is Syria'’s only open window to the world. The newest phase in the war against terrorism, despotism, and evil is about to begin...we need to be prepared. Posted at 10:31 AM
Haven't I read in various places that Israel has already sent ground troops into Southern Lebanon?
