Jimmy Carter - Still a Moron

His editorial in the Washington Post just proves it. What's even more astounding, is the defense given, on his behalf on centerblue.org.

All of our problems in the Middle East can be traced back to our insatiable thirst for oil.

Uh, no, that's not where "all our problems" began. To think so is ignoring the bigger problems this country is facing. Someone wants to destroy us. We don't want to be destroyed! I for one, am tired of the destruction of our Constitution on the left. How about the excessive tax burden on every citizen? This is pretty destructive and it has little to nothing to do with oil. Didn't Winston Churchill say "No country ever taxed itself into prosperity"? Something like that. However, the biggest problem we have, are a bunch of people who do not think we, as Christians, Jews, Buddhists, etc., have a right to exist. Yes, our country, as most countries these days, runs on oil. We have plenty right here, but we can't drill for it, or refine it, if we had it, because of the loony left. Do we need to invest in alternative sources of energy? Of course we do, but until we have the ability, shouldn't it be obvious to use what we have? To state that the fighting between Israel and Lebanon is OUR fault, well, that's just plain foolish!
